Yet again 4L you have excelled yourself! Them big voices came just at the right moment. I do hope friends and family enjoyed it as much as I did.

Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a lovely half term break and enjoyed the sunshine. As the weather is getting warmer make sure you bring a sun hat to school if you have one and apply suncream in the morning before you come to school. Also if you suffer from hayfever make sure you take medication before you come to school, especially on Wednesdays when you are on the field at lunchtime.

This half term's project is very exciting. You need to create a garden (habitat) for insects to live in. One idea is to use a deep tray and grow some plants/grass etc and then decorate it with some small props that you would find in a garden ie: lollipop sticks to create a fence. You can be as creative as you like with this project.This needs to be handed in on Monday 13th July 2009.

Eastbury Manor Visit

We have had a brilliant day immersing ourselves in Tudor times. We have played Tudor games, drawn artefacts from the period, danced authentically and considered how it would feel wearing layers of heavy bulky clothes!

What is your most amazing fact, that you have learnt today?

What a busy week! The masks were finished ready for Supersnappers. We had a lot of fun finding out all about photography and modelling.

I do hope you all have a lovely long weekend and come back rested, ready for our exciting Tudor day.

Parent's Views

Thank you for completing the parent views sheet and returning them to me. Unfortunately no parents attended the drop in session. Because of this, Mrs McGrath and myself are offering a further opportunity to share your views and will be available next week at either of the gates both in the mornings before school and at the end of the day. The Easter Production will be performed on Thursday 2nd April 2009 at 6pm. Please ensure that your child is at school at 5.30pm prompt to get into their costumes ready for the performance.

Sudokus

Well done everyone for trying really hard with the Sudoku puzzles that have been given out for homework over the last few weeks. Now, look around in magazines, online or in puzzle books to do some on your own!

World Book Day

What a fantastic day we all had. Mrs Spooner came to read with us, we planned and wrote exciting stories for our story competition. We shared our books with a Yr 3 buddy and to add to the excitement, Mr Brennan popped in with a big tin of roses for us to share!

Spanish dictionary competition.

All of the entrants to the competition received a super Estudiante, Maravilioso, Spanish pencil. Our lucky winner Lauryn was presented with her own Spanish dictionary. Well done 4L!

Creating natural artwork.

The snow didn't stop us collecting beautiful, natural objects to create our own artwork, in the style of Richard Long and The Boyle Family.

Journeys through Art.

The children have been exploring aerial photographs.

They have painted/drawn their own interpretation of the experience using

many shades of blue and green.
